Super Tuesday


This week, on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, twelve states voted in their primary elections. Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders ran head-to-head for the Democratic Party. The Republican Party, however, was a bit more heated, with five candidates still in the running to be our Republican nominee. The results for all twelve states were as follows:

1) Colorado

2) Minnesota

     a) DEM: Bernie Sanders 62%, H. Clinton 38%

     b) REP: Marco Rubio 37%, T. Cruz 29%, D. Trump 21%

3) Texas

     a) DEM: Hillary Clinton 65%, B. Sanders 33%

     b) REP: Ted Cruz 44%, D. Trump 27%, M. Rubio 18%

4) Arkansas

     a) DEM: Hillary Clinton 66%, B. Sanders 30%

     b) REP: Donald Trump 33%, T. Cruz 31%, M. Rubio 25%

5) Alabama

     a) DEM: Hillary Clinton 78%, B. Sanders 19%

     b) REP: Donald Trump 43%, T. Cruz 21%, M. Rubio 19%

6) Massachusetts

     a) DEM: Hillary Clinton 50%, B.Sanders 49%

     b) REP: Donald Trump 49%, J. Kasich 18%, M. Rubio 18%

7) Oklahoma

     a) DEM: Bernie Sanders 52%, H. Clinton 42%

     b) REP: Ted Cruz 34%, D. Trump 28%, M. Rubio 26%

8) Tennessee

     a) DEM: Hillary Clinton 66%, B. Sanders 32%

     b) REP: Donald Trump 39%, t. Cruz 25%, M. Rubio 21%

9) Georgia

     a) DEM: Hillary Clinton 71%, B. Sanders 28%

     b) REP: Donald Trump 39%, M. Rubio 24%, T. Cruz 24%

10) Vermont

     a) DEM: Bernie Sanders 86%, H. Clinton 14%

     b) REP: Donald Trump 33%, J. Kasich 30%, M. Rubio 19%

11) Virginia

     a) DEM: Hillary Clinton 64%, B. Sanders 35%

     b) REP: Donald Trump 35%, M. Rubio 32%, T. Cruz 17%
