Zayn Malik releases first single since leaving One Direction

British singer Zayn Malik released his first solo single from his upcoming album today. Malik, formerly a member of One Direction, departed the band in March 2015 to persue a "...solo career...". In a recent interview with Beats Radio 1, the singer spoke about leaving the 1D on camera for the first time. "I always kind of wanted to go," he told Zane Low (of BR1), "I never really wanted to be in the band." The new single, entitled "Pillowtalk" was released alongside the accompanying music video (starring his girlfriend, model Gigi Hadid) at 12 AM Eastern Standard Time. The song is considered to be a serious departure to his previous music with One Direction, exploring darker themes and different genres. His entire debut album, dubbed "Mind of Mine", is scheduled to be released this Spring.

Ex-boyfriend Kills NY Students and Himself

Colin Kingston, 24, of Geneseo, killed his ex-girlfriend, Kelsey Annese, 21, and fellow student Matthew Hutchingson, 24. Both Annese and Hutchingson attended the State University of New York, and Kingston is a former student. Kingston reportedly went into Annese's apartment around 6 a.m. on Sunday the 17th and fatally stabbed both Annese and Hutchingson, then took his own life. Police believe he used the same knife to commit the murders and his suicide. Both of the victims were active athletes in the college community. Annese was the women's basketball team captain and Hutchingson was on the men's hockey team. According to MSN, Kingston called his father before committing suicide.

NBA All-Star Teams Released

The 2016 National Basketball Association All-Star Teams have been released, and there are some talented players in the mix. The All-Star Weekend will take place in Toronto, Canada, home of the Raptors. The coaches have also been revealed, as legendary Gregg Popovich will coach the Western All-Stars, and youngster Tyronn Lue will coach the Eastern All-Stars. Many people don't know this, but Tyronn Lue is the player that iconic player Allen Iverson stepped over in a celebration during the 2001 NBA Finals. Iverson made a shot which caused him and Lue to fall to the floor, to which AI stood up, and STEPPED OVER Lue.

According to SBNation, the teams that will face off in Toronto go as followed.
WESTERN CONFERENCE ALL-STARS
Starters:
PG: Stephen Curry
SG: Russell Westbrook
SF: Kobe Bryant
PF:Kawhi Leonard
C: Kevin Durant
Reserves:
Chris Paul
James Harden
Draymond Green
DeMarcus Cousins
Anthony Davis
LaMarcus Aldridge
Klay Thompson

EASTERN CONFERENCE ALL-STARS
Starters:
PG: Kyle Lowry
SG: Dwyane Wade
SF: LeBron James
PF:Paul George
C: Carmelo Anthony
Reserves:
John Wall
Jimmy Butler
Andre Drummond
Paul Millsap
Chris Bosh
Isaiah Thomas
DeMar DeRozan

This is a talented set of people, but one of the biggest problems with it is that there are very few centers. One of the best centers in the league in my opinion, Marc Gasol, was not brought to the All-Star Game. Even with this, the biggest headline of the game will of course be Kobe Bryant's last All-Star game. In fact, he holds the record for most consecutive All-Star appearances, as he has made the All-Star game since his second year in the league, a record-breaking 18 times.

The Bachelor-Episode 4

The fourth episode of The Bachelor consisted of four dates, two one on ones, one group date, and a surprise two on one. This week, everyone traveled to Las Vegas for a chance to fall in love.
The first one on one went to JoJo and I was so happy because she is one of my favorites. Ben came to get JoJo and took her to a rooftop where a helicopter picked them up. While the helicopter was landing the wind was so strong that it blew the table they were sitting at over. It actually worked out for JoJo because they shared their first kiss behind the fallen table. They went on the helicopter ride, went out to dinner, and ended the night by watching romantic fireworks go off on a rooftop. JoJo got her rose and time with Ben.
The second one on one went to Becca. She got picked up in a pink Cadillac wearing a wedding dress delivered for her. When she arrived at her destination Ben told her that he would be officiating people's wedding and she would be there with him. After they were done they went to a neon sign junkyard where all the old signs are refurnished and lit up. They had conversations about their feelings toward each other and how this season is different than Chris' season for her. Ben gave Becca the rose and sealed it with a kiss.
The group date went to Olivia, Amber, Jennifer, Amanda, Leah, Haley, Lauren B., Caila, Jubilee, Emily, and Lauren H. They pay a visit to Terry Fator and perform their owns talents to open his show for him. Olivia gets embarrassed by her not so much talent and apologizes to Ben. He tells her not to apologize that it was fine and she becomes stressed out because she feels their connection is broken. She steals him again and they seal that conversation with a kiss. Lauren B. gets the rose from the group date.
The surprise two on one was planned by Ben for the twins Emily and Haley so he can choose just one. The twins live in Las Vegas so he takes them to their house to meet their mother. After spending time with the two girls and talking to their mother he decides to keep Emily and send Haley home.
At the rose ceremony Rachel and Amber get sent home, as neither girls had much time with Ben.

Monmouth University Bench Making Big Plays

In a place called West Long Branch in New Jersey, there is a college named Monmouth University. Their basketball team is making big moves on social media and ESPN, but it's not their level of playing that has made news. It's the last people you think of, the bench-warmers that barely see the floor. They have been seen making some of the funniest and ridiculous celebrations that the world has ever seen, going as far as a Star Wars theme and acting like they are in a row boat on the floor. One of the most famous celebrations that the bench has done is a thing called the "Human Scissors," which involves one of the players doing a handstand, and then another player moving his legs like scissors.

Another hilarious celebration that they have been seen doing is the recreation of Michelangelo's famous, "The Creation of Adam."

I love the clever and funny celebrations that the bench has created, and I can't wait to see what else is in store.
