Feature: Jordan Spieth On Top of the World

Golf has had its legends in its time as a sport. One of the first ones that come to mind of course is Tiger Woods, or Jack Nicklaus. In fact, the golfer with the most PGA Tour victories is Sam Snead, who is actually from Bath County. This being said, arguably the best young golfer on the tour is Jordan Spieth, who is only 22 years old and is already ranked the number one golfer in the world. He turned pro in 2012, and would go on to win the 2013 John Deere Classic at 19 years old. He became the fourth youngest golfer to ever win a PGA Tournament, trailing the other three by a few months. The peak of his career came in 2015, when he won two majors back-to-back to begin the year. He started with the Master's Tournament, as he became the second youngest golfer to ever win it behind the legendary Tiger Woods. He didn't just win it though. According to Biography.com, he dominated the competition, tying for the best score in Masters history, at 18 under. Spieth would continue to impress, as he moved on to the US Open, which he also won. Through all of the success and fame, he has also stayed as one of the most humble and inspiring golfers on the tour. One of the biggest examples of this was during the PGA Championship when he would cheer on Jason Day as Day won the tournament.

Spieth isn't only one of the youngest major winners ever, he also is the number one golfer in the world. Considering there is talent out there like Rory McIlroy, Jason Day, Tiger Woods, and Phil Mickelson, this is a truely remarkable achievement. He has definitely made his mark on golf, but the real question is, how long can he keep it up?
