Drag queens take a stand against trans discrimination

A clan of drag queens has taken a stand against transgender bathroom discrimination in North Carolina. The group, consisting of big names Violet Chachki, Sharon Needles, Pearl Liaison, Courtney Act, Alaska 5000, Adore Delano, Miss Fame, Phi Phi O'Hara, and Michelle Visage posted photos on their Instagram accounts from a club in Charlotte, NC. They are pictured posing in front of a female bathroom, with Alaska holding up a handmade sign reading "GENDER NEUTRAL BATHROOM." The photo was posted just a day after the RuPaul's Drag Race Grand Finale, during which Ru herself made an announcement that any queen or trans individual was "free to use any bathroom they please . . . except [hers]." Despite controversy caused by trans bathroom equality laws, Courtney Act and Violet Chachki also posted videos of themselves in the women's bathroom on their Snapchat stories.
