Artificial Neurons

According to ScienceAlert.com, researchers have recently built the world's first artificial neuron. The neuron is capable of acting as a regular organic brain cell. These artificial neurons can turn chemical signals into electrical impulses that are able to communicate with other human cells. These are "finger-tip size" and are composed of no "living" parts. Scientists hope to minimize the size of these neurons to later implant them into people with the hope of reversing things such as paralysis, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's. The possibilities for this invention are endless and could possibly extend to a Matrix-like future.
