“I think that the band has all the right tools to succeed this evening. It will be up to them on whether or not they succeed. Either way, I am very proud of the work and dedication of these young people,” said Mr. English, director of the Rural Retreat Middle/High School Band.
The Rural Retreat Marching Band participated in the George Wythe Band Festival this past Saturday.
The band received in class A:
2nd in General Effect
2nd in Percussion
3rd in Marching
3rd in Music
3rd in Guard
Overall 3rd place in Class A
The Rural Retreat Marching Band received an overall rating of Excellent.
